Fantasy Values

Josh Collmenter (SP-ARZ) Threw six shutout innings against the Dodgers last night. This guy grew up throwing tomahawks, and can really freak a batter out with his unusual delivery. He has only pitched 20 major league innings so far, all but 6 from the bullpen, but has given up only two earned runs while walking one. Who knows how well he will do as a starter, or if batters will begin to figure him out once they see him a few times.
Anthony Rizzo (1B-SD) He is battling a hand injury now so his call-up to the majors may not be as soon as expected. A .373 Average in 134 at bats, with 10 homers, 5 stolen bases, 45 RBI, and 11 doubles in AAA so far this season.
Bryce Harper (RF-WAS): 122 at bats, 9 homers, 31 RBI, 11 doubles, and 6 stolen bases. I read yesterday that he just got contacts after they figured out he couldn’t see very well. He will be up by September, believe it.
Julio Teheran (SP-ATL) (AAA): Brandon Beachy strained his oblique on Friday and is expected to be out a minimum of three weeks. I put my money on Teheran to get the call-up.
Brett Lawrie (3B-TOR) (AAA): Has hit 4 home runs in last 10 games. He should be called up early in June.
Endy Chavez (CF-TEX) Was called up to replace Julio Borbon, who was places on the 15-day DL. He will start against right handed pitchers. (Craig Gentry will start vs. Lefties) He can steal some bases and maintain a decent average. Being in the Texas line-up doesn’t hurt his value. Pick him up if you are desperate for a body...
Jesus Montero | NYY | C/DH (AAA): .325 average in 121 at-bats. Has 2 homers and 5 doubles, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Yankees brought him up just to package him up in a trade. Russell Martin is doing well but who knows what will go on with Posada after last night. Montero could have value depending on where he ends up.
Fernando Salas (RP-STL) / Jason Motte (RP-STL)/ Mitchell Boggs (RP-STL)/Eduardo Sanchez (RP-STL): Take your pick, or a better idea is to forget about speculating on a closer in St. Louis. Salas seems to be a good pick-up if your league counts holds.
